Tiffany Golub, CNM, CRNP

Women4Women OBGYN is now offering Nurse-Midwifery Services. Tiffany Golub, CNM, CRNP joins our team of caring and compassionate providers. Tiffany is the only Certified Nurse Midwife in Northern Alabama practicing in the Huntsville area.

Tiffany Golub is a native of Huntsville who loves the area and is excited to be the first practicing Certified Nurse Midwife in her hometown. She has been a labor and delivery nurse at Huntsville Hospital for 11 years. Her passion for women’s health and childbirth developed from her experiences there. She enjoys educating patients and involving them in decision-making about their health. She feels blessed to be a part of in a woman’s journey through pregnancy and childbirth.

Tiffany received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Alabama and her Master of Science degree from Georgetown University where she served in several leadership roles. She is dual certified as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and Certified Nurse Midwife. In addition to all things childbirth, Tiffany is dedicated to providing gynecological care to women throughout their lifespan.

Outside of work, Tiffany enjoys spending time with family and friends and her Yorkie Ellie. Her interests include traveling, running half marathons, doing craft projects, and staying active in her church.

What is midwifery care?

Certified Nurse-Midwives (CNMs) are licensed independent primary health care providers that provide traditional care for mothers and infants. CNMs monitor the physical, psychological and social well-being of the mother throughout their pregnancy and deliver individualized education, counseling and prenatal care. Certified Nurse Mid-wives provide expert care during labor and delivery, as well as postpartum support.

What is a midwife and what kind of education, training and licensure do midwives receive?

A Nurse-Midwife is trained and licensed in nursing and midwifery. Nurse-midwifery education will take at least 8 years (4 years for bachelor’s degree, one year nursing experience and three years in a nurse midwifery program). A Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) is a licensed registered nurse (RN) with a specialized degree in nurse midwifery.

What are the hours of the midwife?

Monday-Thursday 8-5

Does the midwife provide only pregnancy care?

No, our Certified Nurse-Midwife provides annual gynecological exams, family planning and reproductive education and management.

Where does your midwife deliver?

Our Certified Nurse-Midwife is the only Certified Nurse-Midwife in Northern Alabama practicing in the Huntsville area. She will be delivering at the Huntsville Hospital.

Midwifery care is covered by most insurance plans, however, we ask that you call to verify your benefits.
